Electrical Design Intern
About the position
The Electrical Design Intern works with and supports Sachs’ project teams to develop coordinated 3D preconstruction and construction models, detailed system routing layouts, pre-fabrication shop drawings, and component outputs using virtual building models.
Day in the life
- Preparing sheets, labeling equipment, and conduits
- Modeling conduit
- Prepares calculations, specifications, cable pull schedules, reports, etc.
- Work with the prefabrication department to produce manufacturable electrical assemblies
Minimum Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Revit
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Products including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to work independently or as a team leader with a high degree of organization
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong working knowledge of electrical installations and electrical systems
- Must be able to pass a government background check and drug screen
Travel
- Occasional travel to the project site or working from the project site may be required
