HR Intern: Talent Development & Acquisition

 

Are you an aspiring HR professional with a passion for civic engagement? ACE is seeking one Talent Development Intern and one Talent Acquisition Intern to join our team for the Fall 2025 cycle. Our HR interns are responsible for 1) pitching, organizing, and facilitating professional development events and 2) screening applications and helping conduct interviews for open Fellowship and Internship roles. ACE’s HR interns are an essential part of our mission to civically engage young voters through accessible, nuanced, and nonpartisan policy research.

The Fall 2025 cycle runs from September 8th through December 5th, with a week-long break beginning on November 24th. 

 

This position requires an estimated 10-15 hours per week

  • 1 hour: Participating in weekly check-in meeting
  • 9-14 hours: Organizing professional development series [beginning of cycle]; applicant screening and interviews [end of cycle]

Desired Skills:

  • Prior experience in recruitment, applicant screening, interviewing, and/or event planning
  • Interest in ACE’s mission to spread trustworthy, nonpartisan policy information to inform young voters
  • Organized, self-motivated, and able to work with limited supervision
  • Prior experience in policy research & analysis is a plus

ACE Interns have gone on to earn nationally competitive fellowships, work at top think tanks and government agencies, and attend premier public policy, international affairs, and public administration graduate programs. 

Location: This position is a remote role that can be undertaken remotely from anywhere in the U.S. with a reliable internet connection.

Academic Credit: This internship can be undertaken for academic credit. Some educational institutions require prior approval before the start of an internship. It is the responsibility of the student to check with their institution to be sure they meet any requirements before they accept a position. The Director of Policy will communicate with universities to advocate on behalf of academic credit for Interns if requested. 

 

Again, this is an UNPAID position.
