Adjunct Faculty, English Composition

Miami Dade College is seeking an Adjunct Faculty to teach English Composition. This Adjunct faculty position teaches online English Composition credit courses for MDC Online.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Facilitates student learning in online courses

Manages online courses through the LMS (learning management system) and its tools

Interacts with students online via discussion, chat, and emails at least three times a week

Evaluates and advises students

Provides feedback on the course-to-course developers

Participates in departmental and College affairs

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in English or Linguistics; or Master’s in Fine Arts in Creative Writing; or Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in English/Creative Writing or a concentration of writing related courses from the above disciplines. In addition, for ENC2300 and LIT2480, six graduate hours in Oral Communications required. Check English Education to be sure they are not methodology courses.
