Job Summary:

 

The Early Learning System Initiative within the College of Health is seeking an Outreach Coordinator. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE ), 12-month, professional faculty position.

 

The Outreach Coordinator will work as the Pyramid Model Implementation Data System (PIDS ) Statewide Data Coordinator with the Early Learning System Initiative (ELSI , website: https://health.oregonstate.edu/elsi) at Oregon State University (OSU ). The Coordinator will provide training, technical assistance, systems support, and reporting on the statewide use of the Pyramid Model Implementation Data System (PIDS ) in Oregon. This position will also support alignment, communication, and partnership across the early childhood professional development system and existing systems within the state.

 

The PIDS Outreach Coordinator will be affiliated with the Hallie E. Ford Center for Healthy Children and Families and the School of Human Development and Family Sciences within OSU’s College of Health.

Key Responsibilities

 

50% – Maintain the Pyramid Model Implementation Data System (PIDS ) for the state of Oregon

 

• Coordinate with DELC (Department of Early Learning and Care) on the Every Child Belongs program to assist with the utilization of PIDS to track Every Child Belongs referral response data and mental health consultation, as requested.

• Run monthly reports to ensure programs and communities are using PIDS for data entry and follow up with supports and/or individualized technical assistance based on the analyses as needed

• Provide ongoing monthly Oregon PIDS calls for PIDS users in an inclusive and culturally responsible manner.

• Enter training data into PIDS

• Provide additional training related to PIDS as determined by DELC , the SLT (State Leadership Team), community needs, and/or program needs

• Driving and travel to attend meetings and to complete site visits within the State of Oregon, which requires the person in this role to maintain a current, valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.

 

30% Support statewide use of PIDS :

 

• Provide the following services in an inclusive and culturally responsible manner to systems partners across Oregon, relevant to partner context:

 

• Introductory training on PIDS

• Data literacy (ability to understand, analyze, and communicate with data) scaffolding and support to users within the early learning and care system

• Technical assistance

• Instruction and support on data analysis and action planning

 

• Conduct outreach and engagement about use of PIDS to support statewide use within the early learning and care system, working to make it accessible in partnership with system partners

 

20% – Facilitate Statewide Partnerships through use of PIDS

 

• Liaison with PIDS developers and leaders to troubleshoot issues and request PIDS updates based on partner feedback and as needed

• Communicate and coordinate with partners and PIDS leadership about application programming interface (API ) connections to other Oregon data systems

• Aggregate and summarize implementation data from implementation sites and communities, to be shared with the SLT

 

What You Will Need

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Sciences, Psychology, Sociology, Education, Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Educational Research Methodology, Data Science or field directly related to the work of the project.

• Experience providing training and technical assistance related to data systems (e.g., data literacy, introduction to a data system)

• Experience working within (e.g., maintaining) data systems

• Experience using data to inform decision making and/or implementation of programs

• Prior experience implementing Pyramid Model and/or Inclusion Indicator frameworks

• Experience coordinating projects with multiple partners and deadlines

• Ability to effectively communicate project goals clearly to a wide variety of audiences

• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with a wide variety of audiences and in an environment with limited supervision

• Strong organizational skills

 

This position requires driving a university vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the university; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self-report convictions as per University Policy 05-030.

• Experience facilitating/leading data dialogues with diverse audiences

• A Masters degree in Human Development and Family Sciences, Psychology, Sociology, Education, Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Educational Research Methodology, Data Science or field directly related to the work of the project.

 

Working Conditions / Work Schedule

 

This position requires driving/travel to attend meetings and visit sites.
