Industrial Hygiene Intern

TRC is seeking highly motivated and diverse  Industrial Hygiene Interns for our Summer 2026 intern program out of our New York, NY Office. This is a paid full-time position. This position has the potential to transition into a Full-Time role upon graduation. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Project Managers and Team Leaders and partner with engineers, scientists, and technologists. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

Our Building Sciences & Industrial Hygiene Interns: 

Review and process data, write reports and other office work with occasional travel to field delivering communications and supplies. 

Assist with indoor air quality assessments or exposure assessments and other industrial hygiene and building sciences related activities  

Support various project tasks including regulatory requirements/review estimates, research, procurement support, etc. 

Perform data entry, data management, data evaluation, and data presentation 

Support the preparation of reports, plans and specifications for client  

May work on field assignments as needed 

Will be supported by leaders, mentors and teammates 

Environmental assessments that may include: asbestos, lead, mold, IAQ, odor investigations, water intrusion assessment 

Perform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary 

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

 

Minimum Requirements 

Must be at least 21 years old  

Pursuing Bachelor or Associate Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, Occupational Health, Health Science, Toxicology, Safety, or related field 

Minimum GPA of 3.0 

Has excellent verbal and written communication skills 

Possesses solid technical and problem-solving skills 

Self-motivated, solution-focused, detail orientated person  

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)  

Honest, fun, hard-working and ready to learn and grow 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

Experience with engineering software applications (AutoCad, MathCad, ESRI, HydroCad, WaterCad, ARCView GIS, etc.) or HAZPOWER 40-hour training is preferred but not required

In accordance with local law, the following compensation range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition: $18 to $26/hr. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
