Corporate Accounting Intern

QTS' summer internship program will provide you first hand experience into the fast paced world of the data center industry by providing weekly lunch and learns, a comprehensive orientation program, and site based activities, socials and volunteering events. Every intern will be assigned initiatives tied to real QTS objectives helping with anything pertaining to the whole life-cycle of a data center build and/or company operations.

 

The Corporate Accounting Intern  will gain experience in a variety of functions with the corporate accounting environment. While working with subject matter experts on a daily basis, your responsibilities will include, but aren't limited to the following.

 

Accounting Intern:

Internal Audits

Internal Reporting and External Reporting

Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing

Approval of invoices and requisitions

Approve and create projects, journal entries, and financial analysis.

 

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or similar degree program

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint for presentations and Excel for data analysis and budgeting.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Current full-time enrollment in one of QTS’s partner institutions (listed below), Blackstone LaunchPad partner schools, or schools served by Blackstone LaunchPad’s strategic channel partners (e.g. career readiness partners)

Arizona State University

Auburn University

Kansas State University

Georgia State University

Southern Adventist University

Texas A&M University

University of Kansas

Previous internship or co-op experience in construction, finance, technology, HR, facilities engineering, or related industries.

Experience with data analysis tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

Involvement in community activities outside of schoolwork (athletics, clubs, volunteering, part-time employment).
