Accounts Receivable Associate

Brite Nites Inc. is an exterior lighting specialist with 30 years of experience creating spectacular seasonal and landscape lighting designs for customers nationwide. We are a fun, energetic, hard-working group of people who love the holidays and thrive in a fast-paced working environment. We are seeking an accounts receivable associate to process sales and customer payments. 

This position will work out of our Salt Lake City office and report to the Controller. Our finance team consists of high-energy accountants. We strive to help each other perform at a high level, and we always collaborate to find new ways to improve. The team is made up of individuals who each bring their own unique personalities, experiences, and backgrounds. 

Responsibilities:
•Generate invoices and statements, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to clients
•Process incoming payments, including checks, credit card payments, and electronic transfers, and apply them to appropriate accounts
•Verify and reconcile accounts receivable records
•Monitor client accounts for overdue payments and follow up with clients to resolve outstanding balances
•Collaborate with the client success teams to address any billing or payment issues
•Ensure accuracy of billing and collection activities
•Other eligible task as assigned
 

Critical Metrics:
•Number of customer communications per day
•Number of customer deposits applied per day
•Accounts receivable over 90 days
 

Qualifications:
•Have 1+ years’ experience in the field of Accounting, Bookkeeping, or equivalent withproven experience in an Accounts Receivable or similar role.
•High School Diploma required, additional coursework in accounting or finance ispreferred.
•Possess a fundamental understanding of Accounts Receivable aging schedules.
•Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Be tech savvy, with an understanding of how business needs can be better supported through technology.
•Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel

•Possess the ability to work autonomously, while triaging competing priorities and maintaining confidentiality.

•Have excellent problem-solving ability and interpersonal savvy.

•Have a strong willingness to help in any area and learn new things, even if it’s outside the proverbial “box”.

•Be adaptable, responsible, and dependable.

•Able to work part-time (approx. 30 hrs./week)
 

Job Type: Part-time 

Shift: 7 AM - 1 PM, Monday - Friday

Duration: October 2025 - December 2025 

Compensation: This role will be compensated $18 - 20 per hour, DOE.
