The Engineering Department within Haleon TUMS division is responsible for implementing projects and maintaining the facility while being compliant with all Environmental Health & Safety Department and Quality compliance requirements. This position will be working at the Haleon manufacturing site in the engineering department located in the downtown St. Louis, MO.
As an Engineering Intern, you will have a rotation in project management, project engineering, automation and process engineering. There may also be an opportunity to assist in cleaning validation.
What will your individual contribution at Haleon be?
- Support the Capital and Compliance team in executing engineering projects that improve safety, automation, and operational efficiency across the facility.
- Collaborate with Process Safety and Machinery Safety Engineers to assess equipment and spaces, identify compliance gaps, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Partner with the Senior Automation Engineer to troubleshoot systems and assist in writing and deploying software solutions for manufacturing processes.
- Conduct audits of hazardous areas and contribute to engineering concept development aimed at reducing exposure to dust and chemicals.
- Prepare and deliver project documentation, including risk assessments (e.g., FMEAs), reports, and presentations for both standard and ad hoc initiatives.
Requirements:
- Pursing a B.S. degree in Engineering. Candidate should have a minimum of 1 year of education post high school.
- Good Computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Must have an active student status
- Must be eligible to work in the US at the time of, and for the duration of, their employment. Employees will be required to furnish evidence of US work authorization
- Must be eligible to work onsite on a full-time basis during the internship duration (40 hours/week) and provide their own funding for relocation and commuting.
Preferred Requirements:
- Candidate with previous manufacturing experience (GMP experience equally acceptable)
