The Navy Nurse Candidate Program (NCP) offers an unparalleled opportunity for nursing students to serve their country while earning financial support toward their degree. Designed for students currently enrolled in accredited BSN nursing programs, NCP provides tuition assistance, a generous stipend, and a pathway to becoming a Commissioned Officer in the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps upon graduation.

Eligibility Requirements
- U.S. Citizen
- Enrolled in or accepted to a BSN program accredited by CCNE or ACEN
- Minimum GPA (varies by program, typically 3.0+)
- Meet Navy physical and professional standards
- Willingness to serve a minimum active-duty service obligation as a Navy Nurse Corps Officer
What You’ll Do
As a Navy Nurse, you’ll care for Sailors, Marines, and their families—whether in state-of-the-art hospitals, aboard ships at sea, or during global humanitarian missions. You’ll practice in a variety of specialties (critical care, pediatrics, trauma, mental health, and more) while developing as both a clinician and a leader.
