About this opportunity

MillerKnoll’s Summer Internship Program is a paid, 12-week opportunity that provides a 100% real-world experience for students early in their careers. Throughout the summer you will apply academic learning to real-world situations and cultivate leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. 

 

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Graphic Design Intern to join our Brand Creative team. You will work closely with the internal design team, merchandising, and marketing teams to bring campaign concepts to life. This role will proactively contribute to creative thinking for project needs.

Research competitive landscape of branding within the premium to luxury modern home furnishings industry

Research on modern design graphic references within home furnishings industry

Assist graphic design team on routine layouts

Assist graphic design team on creative concepting

Maintain and organize marketing archive

 

What You Bring 
The needed skills and experience for this role include... 

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite. 

Strong visual communication skills across 2D platforms. 

Excellent organizational and file management skills 

Creative thinking, and problem-solving abilities. 

In-depth understanding of aesthetics and cultural trends in interiors and home furnishings. 

Positive attitude, with a willingness to learn. 

Demonstrates professionalism, maturity, self-awareness, empathy, and emotional intelligence while understanding business goals 

Must be flexible and adaptable to changes in business, corporate, or project strategy. 

 

Education

Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Design, Architecture or Product Design, or a related field.

You must have a GPA of at least 3.0 (overall or within your program) to qualify for consideration in the Intern Program.

 

Qualifications 

Must be authorized to work in the US and will not require sponsorship now or in the future. 

Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodations
