We are currently looking for a Field Quality Assurance Intern to join our team in Smyrna, TN. The position will be a full-time role for the summer of 2026.

 

A Day in the Life:   

Identify and investigate engineering issues potentially impacting safety and/or regulatory compliance by analyzing cross functional data sources with Product Safety, Technical Compliance, and Field Quality Investigations.

Investigate incidents with data analysis, part collection and testing, or vehicle-level incident investigation (on-site or scramble to customer location).

Support handover of complete investigations to the Vital Issues team for TM/TC process

Report investigation status weekly to FQA management.

Regular collaboration with cross functional groups for issue investigation including but not limited to R&D, FQI, PQE, NML, CQ0 and CC0.

 

Who We’re Looking for:

Required:

Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate degree program in automotive, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering or a related field

Strong organization ability with keen attention to detail

Be self-motivated and willing to challenge yourself to develop your talents and skill sets

Strong communication skills both written and oral

GPA of 3.0 or above (Candidates will be required to provide an official or unofficial transcript during the application process for verification.)          

Up to 20% local travel

Ability to perform work onsite at Field Quality Center, Smyrna, TN.
