Position Summary

The Lead Clinic Scribe is an essential part of the Scribe Program, championing the organization's mission to deliver high-quality patient care by leading their Clinic Scribe team. This role serves as the in-clinic expert for all Scribe-related matters, including training, coordinating coverage, and assisting with the implementation of new Clinic initiatives. They will also collaborate with Senior Scribes to ensure the successful execution of Scribe activities within each clinic. This new addition to the Oak Street Health team will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of these crucial activities.

A Lead Clinical Informatics Specialist bridges clinical and IT departments. This senior position oversees the design, implementation, and optimization of electronic health records (EHRs) and other clinical information systems. Their responsibilities include providing leadership and expertise, staff training, project management, troubleshooting issues, and analyzing data to enhance efficiency, productivity, and patient care quality within healthcare organizations.



Responsibilities:
Lead a team of 3-10 Center Scribes
Ongoing training and support of Local and National Scribes
In-clinic point person for coding and workflow questions, including acting as
center expert for new workflows
Understand center clinical documentation performance and support
identification of Center CIS and clinical documentation improvement
opportunities
WRV Review assistance
Coordinating Regional Scribe coverage
Observing and recording patient encounters/examinations
Documenting patient information, history, and diagnoses
Assisting in medical management
Documenting medical decision making

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$18.50 - $42.35

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
