Locum Dentist: Southcentral, Texas

• Must have an active state license
• Does the Provider need to prescribe? Yes
• Is there a state specific CSR that will be needed? No
• Certifications required: BLS - American Heart Association
• Background Experience: Corrections preferred, not required - Bread & Butter Dentistry; 1 year FT experience minimum.
• Credentialing: 10-20 Days
• Dates: ASAP for 3 months
• Work Schedule: 5/8's or 4/10's - no weekends
• Call Schedule: NA
• Outpatient Clinic Setting w/in the facility/prison
• Patient Volume: Approximately 10-12
• Staffing Mix: Dental Assistant, Dental Hygienist, & Possibly Dentist (Depends on Staffing)
• Slow paced dentistry, offenders are scheduled daily and then possible walk-ins if an emergency. True emergencies are sent off the facility to the local ER.

• Clinical Autonomy – You fill out a clinical checklist of procedures you are comfortable performing upon graduation. Confidence in clinical abilities is critical and working with ICON you can refer out the work that you may want additional training before completing.
• Stress-Free Onboarding – You will have a dedicated credentialing team-member, from ICON, streamline your experience. We pre-populate applications, send over all information to the facility, and ensure that your information is uploaded in our client’s system prior to starting.
• Travel – You will have a personalized travel member help facilitate any and all of your traveling needs, for your assignments with ICON. We provide 24/7 service, have an emergency line for any issues, and book flights, rental cars, and lodging accommodations when needed.
• Malpractice Insurance – ICON covers you for ALL assignments under our malpractice insurance policy. You will be fully covered, through our company, for any positions that we partner together for.
• Licensing Assistance – We have a licensing department at ICON that can assist you with applying for 1 or multiple licenses upon graduation. We can alleviate the stress that comes along with following up with the state boards and provide timelines and even PAY for your license fees, when we partner together.
