Mathnasium Education Director Position

60-80k/yr starting, Full Time, In-Person

Job Responsibilities: In this role, you will manage and oversee a math tutoring center, working with students, training tutors, communicating with parents, and running center operations. This is a full-time position, and has a starting salary of 60-80k per year with health insurance and paid time off.

Job Responsibilities: Manage and oversee all aspects of day-to-day operations in the center:

 

  • Student Progress - Create effective learning plans; monitor student pace of progress and reassess as necessary
  • Parent Communication - Send regular progress updates to parents; respond to parents’ ad-hoc inquiries about math issues, test results, teacher feedback, etc.
  • Training Instructors - Onboard and certify new instructors; conduct regular observations and provide feedback to instructors; assist with instructor recruiting
  • Center Operations – Create weekly and daily schedules, restock prize cabinets, and do whatever else it takes to run the center well! 


 

Qualifications:

 

  • Passion for math and working with students
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to cultivate teamwork and balance various leadership responsibilities
  • Math competency through at least Algebra I
  • Completed Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in education, math, or related field
  • Previous management or leadership experience preferred
  • Previous customer relationships & sales experience preferred

All applicants are required to take a math literacy test (through 8th grade math) to demonstrate math proficiency, provide work authorization, and pass a background check.
