EHR Developer

Location: Ashland, KY Onsite Only – This is not a remote or hybrid position

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Minimum Education and Licensing Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

Experience with MyAvatar EHR (required or strongly preferred), including:

Form development

Report customization

System configuration

Proficiency in:

Crystal Reports and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)

C#, Python, Excel, and advanced SQL queries

Strong understanding of clinical documentation workflows, especially within behavioral health or community mental health settings

Job Summary:

The Electronic Health Record (EHR) Developer is responsible for designing, developing, customizing, and maintaining forms and reports within the MyAvatar EHR system. This role enhances clinical documentation processes, streamlines workflows, and ensures data integrity to support clinical, administrative, and compliance functions.

The EHR Developer will collaborate with clinical staff, program managers, IT personnel, and vendors to translate user needs into efficient, user-friendly system solutions. Success in this role requires strong technical skills, an understanding of healthcare data standards, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Performance & Productivity Expectations:

Complete assigned form and report development tasks within established timelines

Deliver error-free, functional solutions that meet user and compliance requirements

Maintain data accuracy and integrity across all reports and forms

Respond promptly and professionally to support requests and bug fixes, maintaining documentation of resolutions and timelines

Required Skill Set & Experience:

Expertise in form development, report customization, and EHR system configuration

Strong proficiency with Crystal Reports, SSRS, C#, Python, Excel, and advanced SQL

Hands-on experience with MyAvatar EHR

In-depth knowledge of clinical workflows in behavioral health or community mental health environments
