Pre-K Small Group Teacher
The Pre-K Teacher is responsible for leading a small-group class (maximum 5:1 ratio) that fosters intellectual curiosity, creativity, and social-emotional growth. The teacher will implement a curriculum focused on immersive STEAM learning, early literacy, and foundational math skills. This role requires a balance of nurturing guidance and academic rigor.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and implement daily lessons aligned with Brain Builders Academy’s curriculum.
Deliver individualized phonics, math, and science instruction through hands-on, project-based, and play-based methods.
Facilitate immersive habitat and STEAM units that connect learning across disciplines (science, art, engineering, and dramatic play).
Create a structured, engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration, problem-solving, and cooperation.
Use positive reinforcement, redirection, and natural consequences to guide behavior in accordance with school philosophy.
Communicate regularly with parents through class updates, progress notes, and parent-teacher conferences.
Maintain daily records of attendance, incidents, and observations.
Collaborate with co-teachers and support staff to ensure consistency and safety throughout transitions and lab rotations.
Set up and sanitize materials, labs, and classroom spaces as part of daily routines.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
