Events Coordinator Internship
The DEC Network – Dallas/Fort Worth

Internship Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Event Coordinator Intern to support the planning, execution, and growth of The DEC Network's events. This role will work closely with the events team to ensure every event runs smoothly and delivers an exceptional experience for all attendees.

You’ll gain hands-on exposure to event management, logistics coordination, community engagement, and nonprofit operations within the entrepreneurship ecosystem.

 

Key Responsibilities

Assist in Event Planning & Logistics
Help plan and organize events from start to finish, including scheduling, vendor coordination, setup, and teardown.

Manage RSVPs & Attendee Communication
Support event registration processes, communicate updates to attendees, and ensure all event information is accurate and timely.

Coordinate Event Marketing Support
Assist with promotional efforts through email, social media, and community outreach to drive attendance and engagement.

Provide On-Site Event Support
Be part of the on-the-ground team during events: helping with check-in, guest relations, tech setup, and problem-solving in real time.


 

Preferred Skills
 

Strong communication and event coordination abilities

Highly organized and detail-focused with excellent time management

Comfortable interacting with professionals, entrepreneurs, and community partners

Interest in event planning, community development, or entrepreneurship
