Quality Control Engineer Intern

Position Overview:  

We are excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a Quality Control Engineering Intern to join our innovative team, where you will play a vital role in supporting Quality Control engineering projects and enhancing operational excellence. As an intern, you will assist the Quality Control Engineering Team with a range of responsibilities, including the assignment of multiple quality control projects to support the development and documentation of inspection plans, surveillance to ensure compliance of procedures and standards. This internship provides a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative environment while making meaningful contributions to our Quality processes.

 

Location: 

On-site in Mount Vernon, IN

 

Your Day to Day as a Quality Control Engineer Intern:

  • Develop and maintain Dimensional Inspection Technique Sheets.
  • Assist with the maintenance of ISO 9000 Quality system procedures and work instructions.
  • Assist  with the development and implementation of inspection plans.
  • Participate in NDE inspection improvement projects.
  • Support Corrective Action items.
  • Create CAD models and drawings.
  • Assist in maintenance of Quality records.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled full time in a Manufacturing, Mechanical, or other engineering or technical discipline program.
  • Must have enough credits to be at least at sophomore status
  • Prior internship experience is preferred but not required.
  • Proficient in fundamental computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong technical problem-solving abilities and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills
  • Strong solid model CAD experience a plus.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior internships and/or experience performing Quality related activities in a heavy manufacturing environment is preferred.
