Supply Chain and Logistics Intern

A Supply Chain and Logistics Intern will have the opportunity to gain experience with various aspects of an organization's end-to-end supply chain processes, which may include procurement, planning, inventory management, transportation, and distribution. 

Responsibilities could include:

• Demand Forecasting - Collaborate with a team to analyze historical sales data and market trends, contributing to accurate demand forecasts that drive organizational decision-making
• Inventory Management - Monitor stock levels, identifying slow-moving or excess inventory, and suggesting appropriate actions to optimize inventory turnover
• Logistics Coordination - Work with your supervisor to coordinate transportation and distribution activities, optimizing routes, and addressing any logistical challenges that may arise
• Data Analysis - Utilize software to compile, analyze, and present data related to processes and performance
• Process Improvement - Work with a cross functional team to identify and implement process improvement initiatives that promote efficiency and effectiveness
• Documentation and Reporting - Maintain accurate documentation, generate reports, and prepare presentations for stakeholders
• Client Support - Assist with client status reports

On-site Supervision and Support

Our internships include 24/7 on-site staff to support students working and living abroad. All students will also report to a supervisor at their internship site. Supervisors provide and oversee daily tasks, introduce the intern to team members, and mentor the intern in organizational agility, skill acquisition, and career readiness. Interns complete a midpoint and final evaluation, and supervisors complete a final evaluation of their interns. All work responsibilities and projects are approved in advance. 

Academic Credit

Students on an internship have the opportunity to enroll in their home university for credit, or enroll in a course through API to transfer back to their university for credit. Email support-internships@apiexperience.com for more information and a syllabus.

Housing and excursions are included in your internship and will be selectable during the application process.
