3D Design Engineer Intern (Remote | Part-Time | Unpaid)

Job description 

Cooledtured is a vibrant online community and retailer specializing in premium action figures from top brands. We're passionate about anime, video games, and pop culture, and we're looking for a creative 3D Design Engineer Intern to help us design and conceptualize new products and accessories using TinkerCAD.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize TinkerCAD to create, modify, and refine 3D models for new products, accessories, and promotional items.
  • Collaborate with the Cooledtured product team to understand design requirements and translate concepts into technical 3D models.
  • Design custom accessories, display stands, and other items tailored to our anime, video game, and pop culture product lines.
  • Prepare and optimize design files for 3D printing, prototyping, and potential manufacturing.
  • Maintain an organized library of 3D assets and design revisions.
  • Test and iterate on designs based on prototype feedback and team reviews.
  • Stay updated on 3D modeling/printing trends and TinkerCAD platform updates.

Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency and hands-on experience with TinkerCAD is required.
  • A portfolio demonstrating previous 3D design or TinkerCAD projects.
  • A creative eye and a genuine passion for anime, video games, and pop culture collectibles.
  • Understanding of 3D modeling principles and 3D printing processes (FDM, SLA, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Excellent time management and communication.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field is preferred.

Internship Details:

  • Ability to work remotely 20 hours/week for a minimum of 3 months.
  • Unpaid internship.
  • 100% Remote Internship.
  • Internship doesn’t guarantee job offer.
