Operations Intern
About the Role:
An Operations Intern at Thaddeus will be responsible for a range of administrative, technical, and professional tasks. This position requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, goal-driven, and capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously. The intern will gain valuable experience in communication, performance, and collaboration with professionals, clients, and outsourced entities.
This internship is unpaid, but eligible for academic or course credit if approved by your educational institution.
Responsibilities:
- Perform various administrative support duties including research, data entry and analysis, identifying discrepancies within the organization, and managing spreadsheets.
- Analyze, generate, and maintain all Thaddeus records and reference material.
- Collaborate with different departments and committees within Thaddeus, staying updated on progress made towards strategic goals.
- Develop operational strategic goals and feasible plans aligned with the organization's long-term business objectives.
- Create presentations for organizational leaders and the entire organization.
- Update and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on a monthly or quarterly basis.
- Collect data on organization programs and create reports to present to the Thaddeus community.
- Answer phone calls professionally, providing answers or transferring calls and taking messages as necessary.
- Respond to questions and concerns from management, staff, and community partners, and send professional written communication when required.
- Participate in facilitation training and assist in facilitating one or more of the organization's virtual departments and/or committees.
- Act as a mentor and point of contact for new interns during their induction and onboarding process through our Buddy system once assimilated.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Business Management, or Finance, or possess an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Strong and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to learn, interpret, explain, and apply them.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet project deadlines.
- Demonstrates strong research, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively as a team member and have a flexible schedule for group work outside of mandatory meetings.
- Capable of working independently with minimal instructions and a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
- Intern must have the necessary technology, internet connection, and ability to work virtually via Microsoft Teams.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Teams and OneNote, 8x8 Work, and Adobe Creative Suite (especially Adobe Acrobat DC)

- Develop a solid understanding of strategic planning and monitoring to contribute to organizational growth and success
- Gain a broad understanding of various aspects of a managerial role, including leadership, decision-making, and team management.
Time Commitment:
- Must be available to work a minimum of 15-20 hours per week
- Must be available for the following VIRTUAL weekly meetings:
- Weekly All Staff Meeting: Mondays 10 AM – 11 AM PST
- Weekly Department Meeting: Thursdays 10AM – 12 PM PST
- Once facilitation training is completed, will be asked to attend/facilitate one or more department or committee meeting
- Must be able to commit to this 6-month to 1-year internship (accommodations can be made for final exams)
