Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Intern to join our Information Technology team. This role is ideal for a student or early-career professional eager to gain real-world IT experience in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The IT Intern will assist the team with day-to-day IT operations, including user support, hardware inventory, and basic troubleshooting, while helping ensure that Permco’s technology systems run smoothly and efficiently.

This internship provides a unique opportunity to develop practical technical skills and experience under the guidance of Permco’s IT Director.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist employees with password resets and user account management.

     
  • Support hardware inventory management, including tagging, tracking, and maintaining asset records.

     
  • Provide Wi-Fi code/voucher assistance to employees and visitors.

     
  • Help the IT department with daily troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network issues.

     
  • Set up and configure computers, printers, and other devices for new or existing users.

     
  • Maintain accurate IT documentation, equipment logs, and support ticket records.

     
  • Collaborate with IT staff to identify and improve internal processes and user experience.

     
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies and best practices, including data security and equipment care.

     

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

     
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.

     
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

     
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

     
  • Willingness to learn and contribute in a team-oriented environment.

     

 

 

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365Windows OS, and IT support tools.

     
  • Experience with helpdesk or ticketing systems.

     
  • Basic understanding of network devices and troubleshooting methods.
