Requirements: Minimum of 2.8 (3.0 for internship positions), Commitment of 3 alternating semesters (co-op positions only) and current authorization to work in the United States.

Additional Requirements: Candidates should be pursuing a degree in one of the following disciplines: Accounting, Finance. Minimum sophomore status, 3.0 GPA, must be able to make a commitment of two summers or two part-time semesters and one summer.  Must be a US citizen or permanent resident.

Summary of Position Duties:

Interns will participate in a developmental rotation within Mississippi Power accounting and finance organizations which may include assignments in any or all of the following areas:

Accounting:

Interns will assist and support with various processes and areas of accounting including Corporate Accounting, Revenue Accounting, Financial Reporting, Property Accounting and Systems & Affiliate Accounting.

Financial Planning, Budget and Analysis:

Interns will assist and support with the Financial Planning, Capital and Operations & Maintenance budgets and Financial Analysis.

Regulatory:

Interns will assist and support the Regulatory process, including filings and data requests and exposure to the rate making process.
