Internship Overview
As an intern with Canteen (part of Compass Group), you’ll get hands-on experience in how we operate and support our clients. You’ll learn best practices from industry leaders and apply them to real-world projects.
Your internship may include work in areas like:
- Marketing & Customer Service
- Retail & Merchandising
- Branch Operations & Support Services
- Finance, Purchasing & Supply Chain
- Profit & Loss Management

Job Responsibilities
As a Canteen intern, you’ll support daily operations and contribute to meaningful projects. Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with projects that improve business performance
- Supporting customer service efforts and occasionally interacting with clients
- Helping organize tasks for Micro Markets, Vending, and Coffee Services
- Sharing ideas to improve workflows and best practices
- Collaborating with your team to streamline operations and increase efficiency
Job Requirements
To be eligible for this internship, you should:
- Be currently enrolled in a college or professional hospitality or culinary program (proof of enrollment required)
- Meet your school’s GPA requirement for internships
- Be available to work 32–40 hours per week, based on business needs and program requirements
- Have strong organizational skills and be comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment
- Understand the basics of customer service and client relationships
- Note: College credit is not required, but we can provide documentation if needed
