Duties
- Exercises significant responsibilities in dealing with senior officials of other units or organizations, and in advising high ranking management officials on unclassified and classified C4I operational issues.
- Reviews, and actions orders, directives, and Authorized Service Interruption reports issued by Department of Defense, DISA, National Security Agency and other government agencies that may or will introduce impacts to the operational readiness of SDC.
- Develops new program initiatives to address emerging technologies with solutions that balance operational requirements with the mission.
- Provides direction / oversight for SDC IT Support Contract in VIP Support, Helpdesk, Server Ops, Network Ops, Voice and Video Services and Applications Development.
- Directs the planning, coordination, and execution of 24x7 network operations, ensuring the continuous availability, security, and reliability of classified and unclassified networks supporting critical command and control (C2) functions
