Role Summary
The Corporate Paralegal Intern will support the Legal Operations and Corporate Governance Teams with day‑to‑day tasks that keep our subsidiaries compliant and our internal processes running smoothly. You’ll assist with the maintenance and administration of domestic and global subsidiaries including maintaining subsidiary database, providing cross-functional support to the finance and tax departments, and administering routine filings; assisting with the Board of Directors, Board Committee, and Annual Shareholder meeting planning, logistics, and travel; legal research, and operational projects that improve how we work. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented student who wants practical, in‑house paralegal experience at a global public company.
What You’ll Do
- Entity management & governance support — maintain subsidiary records, track compliance calendars, and prepare routine filings (e.g., annual reports), including organizing board/committee materials and drafting basic minutes or certifications with supervision.
- Corporate filings & registered agent correspondence — assemble standard forms, coordinate signatures (including e‑signatures), and organize acknowledgments.
- Research & memos — conduct targeted legal research on corporate housekeeping requirements, privacy topics, or policy questions; summarize findings for attorney review.
- Operational excellence — build checklists/SOPs, improve trackers, and contribute to process documentation that enhances accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
What You’ll Bring
- Education: Currently pursuing a Paralegal Certificate, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s with legal studies coursework.
- Skills: Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and professional verbal and written communication.
- Tools: Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and SharePoint/OneDrive; ability to learn matter management or entity systems.
Time Commitment & Work Hours
- 20 hours per week, ideally spread over 3–4 days during business hours. We coordinate around academic schedules and exam periods.
