Stellex Capital Management is a private equity firm with $5 billion in committed capital under management that invests in middle market companies in both North America and Europe. Stellex seeks to identify and deploy capital in opportunities that have the potential to provide stability, improvement, and growth. Stellex evaluates investment opportunities in specialty manufacturing, industrial and business services, aerospace & defense, automotive, government services, transportation, logistics, and food.
Stellex is wrapping up the investment period in its second fund and is currently raising its third fund.
With 53 team members, Stellex currently maintains offices in New York, London, Detroit, and Pittsburgh. This role is in our New York office.
Our Internship Program:
Summer Analysts work as integral team members of a highly skilled and experienced investment team, evaluating new investment opportunities and adding value to our existing portfolio companies. Summer Analysts will learn to conduct due diligence on acquisition opportunities, and evaluate and implement strategic initiatives at portfolio companies.
We believe Stellex provides a unique opportunity for Summer Analysts to:
- Collaborate with professionals in an entrepreneurial and growing firm
- Develop a broad range of skills including financial analysis, LBO modeling, debt financing, operational performance improvement and portfolio company management
- Work on a variety of deals throughout the summer, including traditional banker-run auction processes, complex carve-outs, secondary debt investments, portfolio company add-on investments, etc.
- Travel for due diligence on live deals and/or portfolio company meetings
Our goal is to offer interns full-time Analyst positions upon graduation and to provide a challenging and exciting career path within Private Equity. We understand the importance of career development, and this starts when you join us as a Summer Analyst. The initial week of core training is only the beginning – over the course of your 10-week internship you will also have weekly training sessions with our Associates and roundtables with senior investment professionals (including our Managing Partners). Your internship is further enhanced by an end of summer capstone project and various social events over the course of the summer. The annual base salary for this position is $125,000 (prorated for the length of the internship). Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location.
