The State of Connecticut, Department of Aging and Disability Services (ADS), Bureau of Rehabilitation Services (BRS) is seeking dedicated and skilled Interpreter for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to join our team. In this vital role, you will ensure clear communication and equal access to services for individuals across Connecticut.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
- Schedule: Monday - Friday
- Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, First Shift
- Location: Office assignment will be determined in partnership with the selected candidate, based on the locations listed above. Please note this role will include regular statewide travel.
- NOTE: The interview process will require proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT:
This position requires regular statewide travel. Mileage reimbursement is available. Upon request a state vehicle may be available, making it easier for you to focus on what matters most, helping people!

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
- Provide in-person interpretation services at client sites and partner organizations throughout the state
- Support diverse communities by facilitating accurate and effective communication
- Attend staff meetings and similar events at the assigned ADS office
