Analyst Prep Career Program (Investment Banking & Private Equity)

Program Description

 

The Analyst Prep Career Program is a 15-week structured career accelerator designed for students pursuing careers in Investment Banking, Private Equity, Asset Management, and Corporate Finance. It's an exciting opportunity for individuals to gain professional experience and develop a strong foundation of technical skills in investment banking and private equity. At the end of the program, students will receive an analyst certification and the professional experience that will make them stand out in the competitive finance industry. 

The program combines institutional-level analyst training, real investment and deal projects, 1-on-1 mentoring, and recruiting support to help participants become competitive candidates in high-finance roles.

This is not a traditional W-2 or hourly internship. Participants enroll in professional training first and may qualify for paid analyst projects after meeting program performance standards.

 

Program Structure

Phase 1: Investment Banking Analyst Training (2–3 Weeks)

Participants begin with structured technical training designed to prepare them for real analyst responsibilities.

Training Topics Include:

  • Financial accounting & statement analysis
  • Advanced Excel for finance
  • Financial & valuation modeling (DCF, Comps, Precedents)
  • Leveraged buyout (LBO) modeling
  • Mergers & acquisitions analysis
  • Equity and stock analysis
  • Reading SEC filings
  • Professional PowerPoint & pitch-deck creation

Phase 2: Internship Placement: Project-Based / Deal Experience (10–12 Weeks)

After successfully completing training and meeting performance criteria, qualified participants will be placed in a Private Equity internship and work on project-based deal flow as analysts.

Analyst Responsibilities May Include:

  • Build custom financial models. LBOs analysis with scenarios, including mergers, acquisitions, and leveraged buyouts for investment opportunities.
  • Create pitch books, presentations, and memorandums for potential deal transactions.
  • Assist senior management in business valuation, executing various transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and financial advisory services.
  • Perform industry research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities.

 Compensation

  • $2,500 – $3,000 per successfully closed deal
  • Compensation is project-based, not hourly
  • College credit eligibility available

 Paid project opportunities are available only to participants who complete the training phase.
