The City of Mason City is seeking an Engineering Associate to join our team and play an important role in shaping the community’s infrastructure. As an Engineering Associate, you’ll assist the City Engineer and Assistant City Engineer in the survey, design, drafting, inspection, and recordkeeping of municipal construction projects. You’ll perform skilled engineering work, design and assemble plans and specifications for projects such as sanitary and storm sewers, water mains, and street improvements. You’ll also help establish design criteria, review field data, inspect construction work for compliance with standards, and maintain accurate project records.

This position offers an outstanding opportunity to gain hands-on experience in municipal engineering while working on a variety of projects that make a real difference in our community.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or closely related field
• Three years of related experience.
• Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
