Calgon Carbon Corporation is currently looking for a dynamic, motivated college student for our 2026 Internship program which is scheduled to begin on May 11, 2026.

Position: Tax Intern
Location: Headquarters – Moon Township, PA

Hours of work: Full-time position with hours generally Monday through Friday 9:00 AM-5:00 PM

Overview

Our internship program provides real-world experience enabling future professionals the ability to apply what they are learning in school, to applicable situations in a career field they are pursuing. This internship program helps interns gain additional skills that can be applied to future jobs. 

The Tax Intern at Calgon Carbon Corporation will be integral member of the finance department, assisting with tax return compliance, data gathering, and working directly with accounting, treasury, customer service and purchasing department


Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)

  • Assist in the tax credit process along with issuing tax journal entries
  • Assist with tax return compliance  
  • Work with customer service, sales representatives, and accounts receivable department with processing tax credits for customers
  • Sales tax exemption repository maintenance


Ideal candidates will possess the following skills and characteristics

  • Punctual, reliable, detail-oriented, flexible, and adaptable to change
  • Self-motivated and able to acquire new skills quickly
  • Skilled in analyzing problems in a systematic and timely manner
  • Ability to look for creative ways in offering new approaches
  • Self-sufficient, self-motivated, and capable of multi-tasking
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to software such as SAP and others
  • Experience in excel is required; intermediate excel preferred


Relevant Fields of Study - Working towards a bachelor’s degree or higher in:

  • Accounting or equivalent degree

  • Candidates must be willing to comply with pre-employment testing
