We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team! In this role, you will support patient care by participating in assessments, implementing treatment plans, and delivering high‑quality nursing services under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs). Key Responsibilities
- Assist in assessing patients’ physical, psychological, and social needs in both the Health Care Unit and housing units.
- Contribute to individualized treatment plans and collaborate with RNs and other staff.
- Implement treatment programs directed by Health Care Practitioners.
- Administer medications, including IV therapy if certified.
- Perform diagnostic tests following established protocols and procedures.
- Participate in controlled substance counts at each shift and maintain strict adherence to safety and infection‑control practices.
- Respond to codes and medical emergencies within standard guidelines.
- Assist with medical and minor surgical procedures as needed.
- Support nutrition and therapeutic diet plans.
- Document all nursing encounters using SOAP charting and maintain effective communication with the healthcare team.
- Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions, demonstrating commitment to policy adherence and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in Georgia.
- Certification in IV therapy (preferred; required for IV medication administration).
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and quality care.
