Duties Description
The Student Assistant Product Management, Legal Technology, is a key role within the Division of Legal Technology. This job will be supporting strategic planning and integration of technology products into the existing ecosystem. This position will work closely with the Product Manager to identify needs, research potential solutions, and manage the product lifecycle from conception to implementation and ongoing support. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of legal processes, technological trends, and product management methodologies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Product Strategy and Roadmap:
o Collaborate with the Product Manager to define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for legal technology solutions.
o Prioritize product initiatives based on business value, user needs, and technical feasibility.
• Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
o Translate business requirements into technical specifications and user stories.
o Facilitate workshops and interviews to understand user workflows and pain points.
• Product Launch and Training:
o Conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure effective adoption of new technologies.
o Monitor product performance and gather user feedback to identify areas for improvement.
• Documentation and Reporting:
o Create and maintain product documentation, including user manuals, training materials, and technical specifications.
o Prepare regular reports on product performance, project status, and key metrics.
• Continuous Improvement:
o Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the legal technology space.
o Identify opportunities to improve existing products and processes.

Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a US citizen or foreign national eligible to work in the United States
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be currently attending a New York State college, university or graduate program, or be a resident of New York State attending a college, university or graduate program outside of New York State
- Must have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree-granting two or four-year college or university (completion of one year’s worth of academic credits over a more extended period of time may qualify part-time students) OR currently enrolled graduate student or accepted in a graduate degree program
- Must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or equivalent to a C.
