Location: Moncks Corner, South Carolina

Pay: $35-$50/hour & dependent on experience

Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resource K–5 Special Education Teacher to support elementary students in Moncks Corner, SC. Position Overview

The Resource Special Education Teacher will work with students in grades K–5 in a resource setting, collaborating with general education teachers, families, and support staff to ensure student success. The ideal candidate is student-centered, organized, and passionate about inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities

Provide specialized instruction and academic interventions to K–5 students in a resource setting

Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs

Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and school staff

Track and document student progress and maintain accurate records

Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student performance

Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field

Valid South Carolina Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility)

Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred

Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
