Program Overview

 

Are you a motivated and talented individual seeking an opportunity to excel and grow into a dynamic leader? Look no further than the Acuity Brands Internship Program!

The Acuity Brands Internship Program offers a 10–12-week immersive experience (June – August, 40 hours/week) designed to cultivate high-potential candidates through hands-on projects and real-world experiences, interns will align their strengths and interests with the strategic needs of the business.

 

In addition to contributing to impactful projects and transformative processes, interns will have the chance to network with leaders across Acuity Brands.

 

We prefer interns who have one or two semesters remaining in their degree program, as they will be eligible for our Leadership Program upon completing the internship. Our Leadership Program is a full-time, entry-level rotational program that allows recent graduates to explore various areas within a functional domain. These experiences enable young talent to expand their skill set, build their network within the company, and discover their passions early in their careers.

 

 

Work Flexibility

On-Site 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. (8 Hrs. per day)

 

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

 

  • Performing inspections and audits
  • Documenting quality control procedures
  • Analyzing quality data and identifying trends
  • Assisting in the development of corrective and preventive actions
  • Reviewing mechanical / Electrical drawings

 

Education

 

Minimum Education Required

  • Some College

Preferred Education

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

 

Experience

 

Qualified interns will have:

  • Relevant internship or project experience
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Experience leading teams or organizations

Physical Requirements

 

  • This position will have equal time at a workstation as well as on the manufacturing floor, and able to move 50 pounds occasionally
