Roadway Engineer - Entry Level

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Entry-Level Roadway Engineer to join our dynamic transportation and civil engineering team. As a Roadway Engineer - Entry Level, you will contribute to the planning, design, and management of roadway projects, supporting senior engineers in delivering innovative transportation solutions. Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing roadway designs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and other CAD software tools to create detailed plans and drawings.
  • Support project scheduling efforts by tracking timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure projects stay on course.
  • Contribute to construction management activities by reviewing plans, conducting site visits, and supporting field inspections to verify compliance with design specifications.
  • Utilize GIS platforms such as ArcGIS and System Design tools to analyze spatial data for transportation planning and system optimization.
  • Prepare technical reports, memos, and documentation to communicate project progress and technical findings clearly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on system design, transportation planning, and civil engineering tasks to develop innovative solutions.
  • Assist in project management activities by coordinating meetings, maintaining project records, and supporting client communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Familiarity with CAD software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Bluebeam for drawing creation and review.
  • Basic understanding of construction management principles and civil engineering practices related to roadway projects.
  • Experience with GIS tools such as ArcGIS or similar platforms for spatial analysis is a plus.
  • Knowledge of project scheduling techniques and project management fundamentals.
  • Strong technical writing skills for preparing reports, documentation, and correspondence.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment on multiple projects simultaneously. Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
