Electrical Control System Designer
**In person full time Hopkinton MA**
Come join our Control System Design Team as you help us specify, design, quote, manufacture and test our standard and custom panel builds. These panel builds are used for a variety of process control requirements including pump control, batching, heating systems and more at wastewater plants, power plants and other similar facilities throughout the world. A wide variety of customer requirements will ensure there is always something new to learn and work on. As a manufacturer of panel displays and controllers, your knowledge and experience will be invaluable as we design our next generation of products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Working directly with customers to understand their requirements
- Making Electrical Drawings using an industry standard toolset
- Determining component specifications based on requirements and availability
- Making BOMs to give to Purchasing and Production
- Determining/Estimating cost and pricing for Sales
- Making assembly and test procedures/drawings/details
- Contribute to display and controller product specification and design
Skills and Requirements
- Familiar with machine and cabinet wiring/layouts
- Ability to read, understand, and generate schematics and technical drawings
- Experience making Electrical Drawings using an industry standard toolset
- Experience making Mechanical CAD Drawings using an industry standard toolset
Education & Experience
- Electrical Engineering college degree or certification (or min 3 years of design experience in a panel shop)
- Existing certification as a UL508A MTR is a plus
- Eplan, SolidWorks / AutoCAD Electrical certifications are a plus
