Event Management Intern
Remote Position - College Credit (dependent on institution) - Unpaid
Time Commitment: 6 months | 6-8 hours/week, Flexible schedule based on school requirements.
General Description:
The Seasonal Events Management Intern will work closely to coordinate the planning, hosting, and marketing of events for Digital4Good. Following the completion of the 6-month internship term, the Seasonal Events Management Intern will be eligible for advancement to the role of Seasonal Events Management Lead Intern.
Duties:
- Plan and organize events (e.g. gatherings at sporting events, social media takeovers)
- Draft marketing materials for events and promote events at stores/corporate offices
- Work with businesses to prepare event proposals, including budget proposals
- Attend and host events
- Ensure delivery of post-event and -program communications and acknowledgement to event sponsors, partners, and participants
- Evaluate event performance via feedback surveys
- Maintain clear communication with team members on status of assigned project(s) through weekly meetings with the team and supervisor
- Plan and attend quarterly Advisory Steering Committee meetings
- Additional Duties, if promoted to Seasonal Events Management Team Lead Intern: Oversee various stages of event development and coordinate event volunteer involvement; supervise all Seasonal Events Management Team work and due dates; plan and organize quarterly agenda topics for Steering Committee Meeting

Evaluation:
- Management: Work with team to organize at least 1 virtual event per month
- Commitment: Participate in weekly meetings and check-ins (Minimum of 75% attendance)
- Timeliness and Organization: Track projects and meet all deadlines, or communicate with supervisor before setting new deadlines
- Brand Integrity: Maintain organization’s brand consistency by using brand voice and designated assets in public-facing communications
- Engagement: Accumulate points for engaging with organizational social media pages, attending workshops, attending work events, participating in marketing video/photo, filling out survey, and finishing a project/campaign
