We are searching for the best talent for Epidemiology Summer Intern to be in Horsham, PA / Raritan, NJ or Titusville, NJ.
- The Intern term is from May to August, 2026.
- Full time requirement (40 hours per week).
Purpose:
This position is on the Real World Assessment and Research on Drugs (REWARD) team, whose mission is to leverage real-world data to identify and characterize potential unknown benefits of existing drugs, which is used to inform new drug discovery and identify drug repurposing opportunities. The REWARD team is composed of epidemiologists and computer scientists who collaborate regularly with the Research and Development and Established Products organizations, providing an opportunity to interact with experts in drug development across the product lifecycle.
You will be responsible:
- Contribute to the development and validation of clinical cohort definitions (also known as “computable phenotypes”) for key health outcomes and conditions of interest using real-world data.
- Perform literature reviews to identify real-world data (RWD)-based definitions of diseases and outcomes.
- Use artificial intelligence tools to aid in the creation of clinical descriptions and the summarization of literature reviews.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
- Currently pursuing a Master's or PHD degree in Epidemiology, Informatics, Biostatistics, Medicine, or related fields.
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework.
- Strong research skills, particularly in the review of scientific literature.
- Experience with relational databases and programming in SQL is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminologies (ICD, NDC, SNOMED, MedDRA, LOINC, CPT) or bioinformatics ontologies is preferred.

Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
