Role Description
This is a full-time Entry-Level Public Accounts Auditor I position based in Washington County, KY, with the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for some work-from-home opportunities. The responsibilities include performing financial audits, analyzing financial statements, evaluating internal controls, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will work collaboratively with the team to assess public financial operations and support accountability and fiscal responsibility in government practices.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in preparing and analyzing Financial Statements
- Strong Analytical Skills to identify trends, discrepancies, and financial data insights
- Knowledge of Financial Audits and familiarity with audit procedures
- Understanding of finance principles, practices, and processes
- Experience in evaluating and implementing Internal Controls
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA or interest in pursuing CPA certification is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
