This internship blends travel, tourism, advertising, and creative media into one hands‑on experience—perfect for students who want to understand how destinations are marketed, how travel is booked, and how digital content inspires audiences to explore.

As a Travel, Tourism & Destination Media Intern, you’ll learn how to plan travel, promote destinations, create compelling media, and support outreach to tourism partners. You’ll gain practical skills in hospitality, marketing, and digital sales while contributing to creator‑centered projects and entertainment‑driven campaigns.

What You’ll Learn & Do

Travel Planning & Group Coordination

  • Research and book travel for individuals, families, teams, and creative groups
  • Assist with coordination for events, productions, team travel, and destination experiences
  • Explore booking platforms, hospitality tools, travel insurance options, and partner networks
  • Support logistics for UEV programs, creators, and partner initiatives

Tourism & Destination Marketing

  • Pitch and promote travel experiences through digital storytelling, social media, and creative campaigns
  • Learn how to position advertising opportunities to tourism boards, travel brands, and destination partners
  • Support outreach to state agencies, resorts, entertainment venues, and international travel organizations
  • Help shape messaging that highlights culture, adventure, and entertainment‑driven experiences

Media, Marketing & Creative Promotions

  • Create newsletters, digital ads, podcasts, and promotional content that blend travel storytelling with creator‑centered media
  • Collaborate with social media and video teams to produce content that inspires exploration and drives engagement
  • Help shape creative campaigns that highlight destinations, culture, and community impact
  • Support multimedia content that strengthens UEV’s entertainment ecosystem

Sales & Relationship Development

  • Learn how to sell integrated marketing solutions that combine travel experiences with digital media promotions
  • Develop outreach strategies for tourism boards, hotels, airlines, cruise lines, and entertainment partners
  • Support communication pipelines using CRM tools, email marketing platforms, and social outreach systems
  • Assist in building long‑term relationships with travel and tourism stakeholders

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Work with UEV’s internal teams: copywriting, graphics, video production, digital strategy, and more
  • Use AI‑powered tools to automate marketing tasks, build sales funnels, and target audiences across platforms
  • Contribute to creator‑centered initiatives that connect travel, storytelling, and digital creativity
  • Support integrated campaigns across entertainment, media, and tourism sectors

Requirements

  • Passion for travel, hospitality, media, and creative marketing
  • Interest in learning both the technical side of travel booking and the business side of destination promotion
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable multitasking
  • Openness to learning CRM systems, travel software, email marketing tools, and social platforms
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to grow
  • Availability for virtual meetings:
    • Mondays @ 9:00 AM MST
    • Wednesdays @ 10:00 AM MST
    • Fridays @ 8:00 AM MST
    • SkillBridge participants: Thursdays @ 9:00 AM MST
