CADD Technician – Land Development

Overview

A Land Development team in Beckley is seeking a CADD Technician who brings experience, enthusiasm, and a collaborative mindset. This group supports a wide range of public and private projects including commercial, residential, and industrial development, as well as public improvements, reclamation work, and special projects focused on outdoor recreation, tourism, broadband enhancement, and abandoned mine land restoration. Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed technical drawings, plans, and site layouts for land development projects

• Address comments and redlines for grading, erosion and sediment control, utilities, stormwater, and overall site design

• Collaborate with engineers to develop efficient, constructible designs that meet client and regulatory requirements

• Assist with design tasks related to stormwater systems, site geometry, roadway design, and site infrastructure

• Participate in QA and QC efforts to ensure adherence to internal standards

• Work independently in a deadline-driven environment while contributing to team success

Qualifications

• AS degree in drafting or a related field

• One to three years of experience as a CADD Technician in land development or civil site work preferred

• Intermediate proficiency in AutoCAD; Civil 3D experience is a plus

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

• A proactive mindset with a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work
