Entry Level Paralegal - Business Immigration

A global law firm is hiring entry-level paralegals/ Business Immigration Analysts to start ASAP. This role is very similar to that of an entry-level paralegal.  We are seeking applicants with strong writing skills and an interest in immigration law.

Apply today! We are targeting individuals available to start by mid to late March, and commit to the position for at least three months, until about mid-June.  Please note the contract could be extended after that date.  Applicants shouldbe local to the Washington, DC area as this position requires on-site work at least three days/week, after a full-time on-site training period. The paralegal will work with a team of legal professionals that work on a wide range of US non-immigrant and immigrant matters. The successful candidate will have strong writing skills, and have earned their Bachelor degree, GPA of 3.3 or higher.  An interest in immigration law is strongly preferred.  The client is also seeking applicants that will be with them for a minimum of one year, ideally 2+ before returning to school.  Relevant internship experience focused in law, research, and/or writing is strongly preferred. Availability for daily and weekend overtime is a must.

Day to day responsibilities:

• Assist foreign nationals and/or clients with applying H-1B and L nonimmigrant visas, and employment based permanent residency.
• Draft letters and cases, assist with legal research, perform administrative job duties, and provide assistance with special projects as needed.
