Salary Range: $90,000 – $110,000 annually (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: $10,000

Position Overview
NurseAmerica is seeking a skilled and compassionate Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-quality outpatient oncology practice. This role is ideal for nurses with infusion and oncology experience who are passionate about delivering safe, patient-centered cancer care in a collaborative clinical environment.
The Infusion RN provides professional nursing care in accordance with national standards, specialty guidelines, and organizational policies while supporting patients throughout their treatment journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate patient care to ensure continuity and quality outcomes
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, including medical history, labs, imaging, and psychosocial needs
- Prepare and administer infusion therapies under physician supervision
- Administer medications and blood products using proper protocols and safety standards
- Perform venipuncture; access and maintain implanted ports and central venous devices
- Monitor patient response to treatment and collaborate with providers on dose adjustments and symptom management
- Provide patient and family education, counseling, and psychosocial support
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and charge capture
- Ensure all pre-authorizations and consents are obtained prior to treatment
- Manage patient flow, scheduling, triage calls, and follow-up care
- Assist physicians with exams and procedures
- Follow OSHA, infection control, and hazardous material handling guidelines
- Maintain treatment areas, supplies, and equipment per quality standards
- Serve as a resource and mentor to LPNs, medical assistants, and less experienced nurses
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and clinical research as applicable
- Participate in ongoing oncology education and professional development
Infusion-Specific Responsibilities
- Program and manage ambulatory infusion pumps for continuous drug delivery
- Educate patients and caregivers on home infusion pump use
- Clean, maintain, and document infusion pump usage
- Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Provider Card preferred
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland
- Current BLS certification
- 3–5 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in oncology preferred
- Infusion nursing experience strongly preferred
- Oncology certification preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Outpatient oncology/hematology clinic setting
- Possible exposure to radiation, cytotoxic agents, and communicable diseases
- Prolonged standing and walking
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
- Manual dexterity and visual/hearing acuity required
