Zoo Media Travel & Tourism Intern - Remote

Blend Travel Planning, Tourism Marketing, and Digital Storytelling in One Immersive Program

Zoo Media is launching a unique internship for emerging travel professionals, destination storytellers, and youth‑centered media creators who want to explore the intersection of travel, tourism, advertising, and digital media. This role is designed for future travel agents, tourism marketers, and destination media specialists who want hands‑on experience booking travel, promoting destinations, and supporting campaigns across sports, entertainment, and global tourism brands.

Interns learn how to coordinate travel for individuals and large groups, pitch destination services to diverse audiences, create promotional content, and support advertising sales across digital platforms and sports venues. You’ll gain experience working with tourism bureaus, entertainment properties, international markets, and partner brands.

What You’ll Learn & Do

Travel Planning & Group Bookings

  • Research and book travel for individuals, families, and large groups.
  • Support group coordination for events, team travel, entertainment tours, and destination packages.
  • Explore booking software, travel insurance options, and hospitality partner platforms. 

Tourism & Destination Advertising

  • Pitch and promote travel experiences through digital advertising, events, and social media.
  • Learn how to position sports‑venue advertising to tourism boards, travel brands, and global destinations—from state agencies to luxury resorts. 

Media, Marketing & Promotions

  • Create newsletters, podcasts, digital ads, and promotional materials that blend travel storytelling with commercial advertising.
  • Collaborate with social media and video teams to develop content that inspires adventure and drives conversions. 

Sales & Relationship Development

  • Learn to sell integrated marketing solutions that combine travel packages with sports media promotions.
  • Develop outreach strategies for tourism boards, hotel chains, airlines, cruise lines, and entertainment venues. 

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Work with Zoo Media’s copyright, graphics, video production, and digital strategy teams.
  • Use AI‑powered internal tools to automate marketing, build sales funnels, and target audiences across social platforms and ad networks. 

Ideal Candidate

  • Passion for travel, hospitality, media, and sales.
  • Interest in both the technical side of booking travel and the business of destination‑focused advertising.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable multitasking in fast‑paced environments.
  • Open to CRM platforms, travel software, email marketing tools, and social media.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn.
  • Available for required team meetings:
    • Mondays at 9:00 AM MST
    • Wednesdays at 10:00 AM MST
    • Fridays at 8:00 AM MST
    • SkillBridge participants: Thursdays at 9:00 AM MST

    • October 1–5 (Winter) 
  • Students should confirm academic credit eligibility with their school.
