We are seeking an energetic and committed recent college graduate to join our Retreats team as an Adventure-Based Retreats Facilitator. Our facilitators spend their days working with groups of youth and educators focused on social-emotional development and outdoor experiential-based activities that build teamwork, communication, and relationship-building skills. These individuals lead icebreakers and team building activities, facilitate ropes courses, build campfires, and walk participants through social emotional development exercises. Additionally, facilitators play key roles in various Ramapo programs such as our residential camp, our day camp,our residential program for young adults, as well as our before and after care program in the local elementary school. This is a residential position. Room and board are included, with 3 meals provided daily. Staff typically share a 2-bedroom apartment with another staff member. Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in a related field, or interest in pursuing education in a related field.
- Ability to live in residence on Ramapo’s Rhinebeck, NY campus for a minimum of 15 months.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Motivation and interest in Ramapo’s mission.
- Experience in youth development, special education, community development, and/or adventure education is a plus.
