This position is located in Los Angeles, CA. You may support a variety of markets and/or projects in a Business Analyst and Market Growth type role which may include analyzing data to provide recommendations on business initiatives, generate reporting, working with a diverse set of teams including marketing, revenue management, and loyalty to support market initiatives, and engaging with the local sales team to add customer driven insights.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student pursuing an undergraduate degree in a 4-year academic institution
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4-point scale 
  • Must be able to work onsite in our Los Angeles, CA office for the duration of the 12–week internship program 
  • Internship dates: either from May 18-August 7, 2026 or June 8-August 28, 2026
  • Most teams work a hybrid onsite/remote work schedule with management approval 
  • Must be available to work on a full-time basis for the Summer 2026 semester. Student cannot actively take any courses (inclusive of online or in-person) and work as a Co-op/Intern at the same time, which may delay graduation by 1-2 semesters
  • Working as a Co-op/Intern does not guarantee a full-time opportunity at Delta Air Lines upon graduation. This position is intended to provide educational and professional work experience to prepare the student for the workforce
  • Willing to travel up to 10% company business travel 
  • Strong analytical, leadership, written and verbal communication skills
  • Interest in solving complex problems and investing the time and energy to overcome roadblocks and learn from mistakes 
  • Ability to conduct yourself in a mature manner and be comfortable working in a business casual work environment

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
 

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Social Science, Math, Statistics, or another analytical field
  • Rising junior or senior standing
  • Fast learner, demonstrates initiative in acquiring new knowledge, and has curiosity about the airline industry
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver analyses in a clear and compelling manner
  • Ability to digest large amounts of data and information and succinctly explain what can be learned from the data and how it can support decision making
  • Desire to learn leadership techniques and best practices in problem solving and conflict resolution to enable innovation and progress on difficult to solve challenges of our customers
  • Have an interest in driving strategy and supporting growth in focus markets and an interest in airlines
