Electrical Engineer II
Job Description :
Located in Indianapolis, IN is searching for an energetic and highly motivated candidate to join its Electrical Hardware
Engineering organization.
The Electrical Engineer II is responsible for specifying, designing, integrating, and testing circuit cards
and modules for DOD ground and airborne applications.
Candidates must exhibit a high degree of initiative and sound judgment,
working independently and as a member of the Electrical Hardware Development Team. It is essential the individual be capable of
adapting to changing conditions and work cooperatively in a team environment.
This role calls for someone who is accountable, self-
starting, a good communicator, and raises his/her hand to help push the team forward.
The position requires the candidate to troubleshoot circuit card manufacturing defects, working to support Root Cause Corrective
Action reports, and synthesizing & communicating solutions to the wider product team. Initially the position requires the candidate
assist in a production support capacity for a low rate initial production design.
Additionally, the candidate will be tasked to design
and develop circuit card assemblies (CCA) and modules such as test adapters and fielded systems.
The Electrical Engineer should
be experienced in most aspects of circuit card design from concept through delivery to higher level assemblies as evidenced by
successful design completions (including hardware/firmware designs with microcontrollers or microprocessors, FPGAs, memory,
and industry interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, UART).
The candidate and team will be required to integrate aircraft AC power,
low voltage DC control signals, ethernet, digital discrete input/output, and analog signals for the functional system.
The candidate shall utilize simulation tools such as SPICE to model electronics behavior.
The candidate shall design analog circuits to meet a set of requirements.
The candidate shall perform component selection and schematic capture.
The candidate shall guide
Electronic Computer-Aided Design (ECAD) personnel through PWB layout of circuitry and technical drawing creation.
The candidate shall utilize analysis tools like Mathcad and/or Matlab to assess electrical design robustness of circuitry.
The candidate shall perform design reviews, equipment integration, equipment characterization, and testing which will require a high degree of onsite presence
at a minimum of three days locally, immediately.
The candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite; routine communication will occur through MS Teams, OneNote, Azure
DevOps, Excel, and e-mail.
Additional responsibilities include:
· Work within cross functional teams
· Perform design work within the bounds of a given schedule.
· Present reviews of technical data to program leadership and technical staff.
· Actively participate on technical design reviews
Required Skill Set :
· A minimum of 2 years professional work experience
required, 1 year of experience with an electronics related
internship experience, or a Master’s degree in a STEM
related discipline.
· Strong planning and organizational skills with ability to be
adaptable to changing priorities and assignments
· Experience capturing key characteristics & requirements
for systems
· Performing trade studies
· Must have experience using SPICE (or similar), and other
circuit simulation tools.
· Must have experience with analysis tools such as Matlab
or Mathcad.
· Must be a self-starter, a quick learner, and be able to
function in a dynamic environment, and have good time
management skills.

· Experience in the development and design of electronic
circuit designs, multi-assembly system/unit design,
processor designs a plus
· Experience with embedded test techniques, design for
test, design margin analysis and design for production
· Design, analysis, and/or test experience with power
converters and/or analog electronics
· Experience with performing circuit card assembly-level
debug and failure analysis
· Experience with military specifications or similar (MIL-
STD-810, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464)
· Design experience with environmental and electro-
magnetic interference (EMI) concerns.
· Leadership experience.
Education Qualification :
· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or related Science,
Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) degree
program
