Internship Projects/Tasks/Assignments
- Graphic arts: Helping manage social media; creating posters for schools and libraries; working on YouTube channel
- Data/audience management: Upgrading, maintaining and/or expanding mailing lists; connecting with potential audiences; helping with presentations to audiences and/or exhibit tables
- Writing/ research for audience communication or articles
- All assignments will be hybrid and all will be negotiated, depending on the intern’s skills and interests and project needs.
Skills Intern Should Develop
- Expanded marketing skills
- Improved writing skills (Your mentor is a professional writing coach.)
- Improved graphic arts skills
- A strong background in West Virginia writers, leading to increased state pride
