Position Overview

This internship is designed to bridge the gap between AI, automation, and real-world business operations within the entertainment industry.

Students will gain hands-on experience learning how to design, build, and test automation systems that support casting, content workflows, and business infrastructure.

Interns will apply their existing technical knowledge to real use cases, learning how systems thinking, AI tools, and automation can improve efficiency and scale within a creative business.

This is a training-focused, portfolio-building internship with mentorship and guided, project-based learning.

Responsibilities (Training-Based)

  • Assist in designing and testing automation workflows
  • Support the organization and structure of backend systems
  • Document workflows, processes, and system improvements
  • Participate in problem-solving and workflow optimization sessions
  • Build and test small-scale systems with guidance

 

 

Qualifications

  • Currently a junior or senior (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Foundational, hands-on experience with AI tools, automation, or system workflows
  • Strong interest in applying technical skills to real-world business operations
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to break down processes and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency

 

Required Technical Skills (Must Have Experience With Some of the Following):

  • Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT or similar platforms for structured workflows
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Zapier, Make (Integromat), or similar
  • Experience working with databases or structured systems (Airtable, Notion, Google Sheets)
  • Ability to design or map workflow processes and system logic
  • Basic understanding of APIs and integrations
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace, especially Sheets and Drive
  • Ability to document systems and processes clearly

 

Bonus Skills (Strongly Preferred):

  • Basic coding experience (Python, JavaScript, or similar)
  • Experience working with webhooks or API connections
  • Familiarity with no-code / low-code system building
  • Experience building or testing automation systems end-to-end

 

Additional Requirement

Candidates should be comfortable executing technical tasks with guidance and not learning tools for the first time.

Interns will learn how to apply their existing skills—whether in technology, design, or creative disciplines—into real-world media and storytelling environments.

Through guided projects and mentorship, students will gain hands-on experience in how stories are developed, supported by technology, and brought to life across television, digital media, and branded content.

Compensation & Academic Credit

This is an unpaid educational internship designed to provide hands-on training in technology, casting, media, and creative production.

Asjai Lou Casting LLC supports students seeking academic credit where applicable and will provide documentation and supervision required by the student’s academic program.

 

This internship is structured as a learning experience and does not replace the work of paid employees.
